IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a modified 83-amino-acid analog of human IGF-1. The critical distinction between IGF-1 LR3 and GH-releasing peptides is the difference between hypertrophy and hyperplasia. GH and standard IGF-1 primarily promote hypertrophy — the enlargement of existing cells.
